Prof. Dr. med. M. Weber has been educated in Giessen, Lübeck, Hamburg, Freiburg, Heidelberg and Aachen. He is specialised in Orthopaedic Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Chiropractic as well. He has got several awards on the field of limb reconstruction in congenital and acquired diseases and joint diseases as well. He is member of a great number of national and international orthopaedic societies. He has organised or taken part as lecturer in several national and international congresses in general orthopaedics, paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction. In appreciation for his scientific and clinical work Prof. Dr. Weber has been elected for President of the A.S.A.M.I. (Association for the Study and Application of the Method of Ilizarov) – Germany.
Specialities in Conservative and Operative Orthopaedic Treatment
Paediatric Orthopaedics
Conservative and operative treatment of all kind of congenital malformations of the upper and lower limb.
Leg lengthening and correction of all kind of axial deviations by the Ilizarov method.
Conservative and operative treatment of congenital and developmental diseases: e.g. hip dysplasia and –luxation, Legg-Calvé-Perthes-disease, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, clubfoot.
Prosthetic care.
Adult Orthopaedics
Leg lengthening and correction of all kind of axial deviations by the Ilizarov method: e.g. congenital malformations, bone defects after trauma, infection, bone tumours.
Operative treatment of degenerative joint diseases: e.g. arthroscopic surgery, cartilage repair procedures, osteotomies for axial deviations of the extremities, joint replacement with modern prosthetic design and materials.
Conservative treatment of degenerative joint diseases: e.g. pain-therapy, injection-therapy and intraarticular cartilage repair.
