Cairo – Pyramids, Memphis & Saqqara:

    Today enjoy the full day Pyramids Tour. First we visit the Great Pyramids of Giza:
The Pyramids of Cheops, the Second and Third Pyramids - considered one of the Seven wonders of the world. See the Sphinx with its unsolved mysteries and face.

    These astounding works are monuments to the incredible precision-building skills of the ancient Egyptians.

    We continue on to fabled Memphis, once a vast Metropolis and capital of the Old Kingdom.

    The Alabaster Sphinx and the colossal statue of Ramses II bear mute testimony to the mighty civilization  that once reigned from this glorious site. Continuing to Saqqara - the oldest stone complex in the world, we  starein amazement at the towering Step Pyramid of Zoser, the earliest of all pyramids, dominating the extensive pyramid field of funerary monuments, which stretch for miles in all directions.
 

Over Day ALEXANDRIA:

    Drive for an over day to Alexandria. Tour Alexandria, including the National Museum, Catacombs, Pompeii’s Pillar, and the Alexandria library. The National Museum and the Catacombs is a “tour de force” of rock-cut architecture. The Alexandria’s National Museum houses one of the most impressive collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts including dramatic findings from underwater excavation sites. Proceed to visit the Catacombs - this is the largest Roman cemetery in Alexandria. It is composed of three levels cut 30 meters deep into the existing rock. Dating to the beginning of the Second Century AD, it is a blend of Pharaonic and Roman art.


Cairo / Islamic Cairo & Coptic Cairo / Egyptian Museum:

    This morning you travel back to the early years of Islamic civilization as you visit the 12th-century Citadel. Continue to the Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, unquestionably one of the masterpieces of Islamic architecture. You pass through the “Gate of Conquests”: Bab El-Fotouh, raised by the Fatimids in the 11th century. You walk through El Moez Street and then tour the Gayer-Anderson Museum. Continue to Cairo’s renowned bazaar, the Khan-el-Khalili, to browse for jewelry, copperwork, silver, clothing and much more. In the afternoon, you will explore Coptic Cairo. . Old Cairo, founded by the Romans long before the modern city arose, and see its Coptic churches, including the lovely 4th-century “Hanging Church,” suspended over the Roman fortress of Babylon. You visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and, if open, the Coptic Museum, which highlights the artistic importance of the early Christians in the Nile Valley. Visit Egyptian Museum.

Its noted for its sulphur springs, which are considered cures for rheumatism & skin complaints.

    Ras Mohamed is a designated area of parks & nature reserves with strict laws protecting it. Located in the southern part of Sinai, 30 Km from Sharm El Sheikh. Ras Mohamed lies in the narrowest strip between the Gulfs of suez and Aquaba. Its renowned for its crystal clear waters, exquisite coral reefs & wealth of marine life, including sharks & schools of Tuna & Dolphins.

    St. Catherin has one of the best known monasteries in the world, a Greek Orthodox Holy place, connected with the Prophet Moses & the Exodus of Jews from Egypt. The exciting Basilica dates from the reign of Justinain in the 6th Century AD.   The Monastery is also noted for its huge Library of Ancient Theological Manuscripts and collection of Icons.
